During my time at Cohen Brown, I had the opportunity to lead an e-learning platform project, serving as the key communicator between stakeholders, users, and developers. My role encompassed identifying and consolidating user requirements, collaborating with the CTO and COO to architect the platform, and establishing an actionable plan for both my design work and the developers' programming tasks. Drawing from my scrum master certification, I applied scrum methodologies to our project, despite not strictly following the scrum framework. Within the first month, I implemented a system where we focused on two major goals and smaller tasks, delivering them within a two-week timeline that struck a balance between Kanban and waterfall methodologies. Throughout the process, I prioritized user testing of prototypes to ensure optimal usability and efficiency prior to implementation.
Above, you can see the screens before my involvement in this project. The primary objective was to create a user-friendly experience specifically designed for managers and administrators in the financial industry. The platform aimed to educate users on various banking-related educational topics. Throughout the design process, my focus was on ensuring that the interface was intuitive and easy to understand, catering to the unique needs and requirements of professionals in the financial sector. By incorporating clear navigation, concise information, and thoughtful interactions, we successfully developed an educational platform that empowered users to enhance their knowledge in the banking industry.
To kickstart this project, I began by creating initial sketches to solidify the project's strategy. With a well-established minimal style guide in place I created, I seamlessly incorporated drag-and-drop functionality for interface elements. In this particular segment, my approach involved a direct transition from sketching to high-fidelity wireframes. By bypassing the intermediate stages, I was able to expedite the design process and maintain a focus on creating polished and detailed wireframes that accurately represented the final product. This streamlined approach allowed for efficient iteration and ensured a smooth transition from concept to a visually compelling interface.
Throughout the design process, I utilized Sketch as my primary design tool, creating visually appealing and user-centric interfaces. To validate the design concepts, I transformed them into click-through prototypes using the Marvel app, enabling seamless user testing and feedback collection. Once the designs were refined and finalized, I seamlessly transferred them to Zeplin, facilitating smooth collaboration with the development team. By sharing design assets, specifications, and style guides through Zeplin, we ensured a streamlined handoff process, promoting effective communication and alignment between design and development.
In the culmination of this project, I successfully spearheaded the development of a groundbreaking B2B SaaS e-learning platform that aimed to revolutionize the financial industry. From conceptualization to launch, I played a key role in leading the project, ensuring every aspect of the product was perfected. This involved creating both high and low-fidelity mockups, designing intuitive user flows, and developing prototypes. To optimize the user experience, I conducted A/B testing, refining the platform based on valuable insights gathered from user feedback. By leveraging my expertise, we achieved a user-friendly and minimalistic platform that seamlessly addressed the needs of our target audience.
